Frequently asked questions

Short answers about Flowmind, your coding agents, and your data.

About Flowmind

What is Flowmind?

Flowmind (flowmind.pro) is a work log for solo builders who ship with AI coding agents. You log each session, yours or your agent’s, as a one-line outcome with the link that proves it. Before you stop, you choose tomorrow’s first step. On Friday, Flowmind plays back your week by project.

Who is Flowmind for?

Flowmind is for solo builders who ship with AI coding agents. Codex and Claude Code connect through session hooks, and OpenClaw can use the Flowmind skill without hooks. Use Flowmind when you want to see what you and your agents shipped, approve what goes on your record, and start each day where you left off.

How is Flowmind different from a time tracker such as Toggl Track or WakaTime?

WakaTime measures your coding time automatically through editor plugins. Toggl Track tracks time with timers and manual entries, with projects, reports, and billing. Both answer how long you worked. Flowmind records what came out of each session as a one-line outcome and a link, sets tomorrow’s first step, plays back your week by project, and has your agent stage sessions that you approve.

How is Flowmind different from agent session viewers such as ccusage or AgentsView?

ccusage reports the tokens and estimated cost of your agent sessions from local usage files. AgentsView keeps a searchable local archive of your agent conversations, with activity and cost totals. Flowmind records the result of the work: each session your agent stages has a project, time, a one-line outcome, and a link. It enters your record only after you approve it.

Coding agents

How does Flowmind work with Codex and Claude Code?

You install the Flowmind CLI and its session hooks. The hooks record how long each agent turn runs. When your agent finishes a piece of work, it stages the session with a project, time, outcome, and link. See how Flowmind works with Codex and Claude Code.

Can my agent add work without me?

No. Your agent can only stage a session as a proposal. Nothing enters your record until you approve it, and you can reject anything that isn’t right.

Does agent time count as my own hours?

No. Approved agent time is shown separately from your own hours. It does not count toward your personal hours or your streaks.

Privacy and data

Is my work public?

Not until you publish it. Your profile starts private. A week you publish is public to anyone with its link, even when your profile is private, and it leaves out your intentions and reflections. A project ship log you publish is also public to anyone with its link, and it shows only the outcomes you choose for it. If you make your profile public, it shows your name, bio and the ship logs you share, never your logged time.

Does Flowmind send my data to AI providers?

Some features do. Text drafts, voice transcription, reflections, and update drafts you request are processed by OpenAI in the USA. They send the notes or audio you submit and the related project and work data. The privacy policy lists each provider and what it receives.

Can I export my data?

You can export your hour ledger as a CSV file from your profile. Section 7 of the privacy policy explains how to request the rest of your data.

Getting started

How do I start, and does it cost anything?

You can start free. Sign up with an email address, a Google account, or a GitHub account. Your profile is private by default.

Does Flowmind work on my phone?

Yes, in your phone’s browser. Flowmind is a responsive web app with a bottom navigation bar on small screens. There is no native mobile app.

What is the 7-day proof challenge?

It is a short practice with one small step each day for seven days. You save what changed, make room for tomorrow, and look back at the week. You can read the 7-day proof challenge without an account. Starting it requires one.

Your first week starts with one session.

Log what you work on today. Close the day. By Friday you have a week to look back on.
